2022 Ram 1500 Safety Performance and Features in British Columbia

The 2022 Ram 1500 was the only full-sized pickup to receive the IIHS Top Safety Pick Designation in 2021. The pickup has received an IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety) rating of ‘Good’ for the Side Impact Test, Moderate Overlap Front Test, Roof Strength Test, Rear Crash Protection, Small Overlap Front Passenger Test, and the Small Overlap Front Driver Test. The Front Crash Prevention feature was rated ‘Superior’, while the headlights received a ‘Marginal’ rating. As far as the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) goes, the 2022 Ram 1500 received a five-star Side Crash rating, and a four-star rating for the Rollover and Frontal Crash aspects. The pickup also received an overall five-star NHTSA rating. The rearview camera comes as a standard driver assistance feature. Meanwhile, the available driver assistance features include a rearview mirror camera, adaptive cruise control, rear and front parking sensors, surround-view parking camera, blind spot monitoring, perpendicular and parallel park assist, forward collision warning, rear cross traffic alert, forward automatic emergency brakes, pedestrian detection, head-up display, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning.
